If you're a fan of the theatre who gets put off by high ticket prices, listen up.
A travel guru has revealed a simple trick that might allow you to catch your favorite performances for just five bucks.
Chelsea Dickenson, otherwise known as the Cheap Holiday Expert (@cheapholidayexp) revealed their "secret" tip for everyone else Passports Please! podcast .
The budget travel guru states: "When you're in major urban areas or spots with plenty of performances and happenings, sometimes these events might not get fully booked."
However, instead of leaving the seat vacant, several websites and businesses step in to occupy those spots.
She then explains: 'Just Google "seat filling" and the city that you're after and you will find some companies that do this.
'What you'll discover is that you can go and view things for as little as five or ten quid, which might typically cost you hundreds of pounds.'
However, Chelsea cautions that this trick is usually well-hidden, suggesting it’s akin to the ‘ Fight Club’ rule for theatres.

She explains: "I understand; the reason they prefer not discussing this is probably because I'm unsure if the performers—the actors or musicians—behind those shows even realize what’s going on."
The travel specialist suggests that knowing certain individuals obtained tickets through hacking might 'diminish their pride.'
A commentator remarks: "I've been at this for many years and have snagged some incredible deals!"
Another individual chimes in: "Ticket touts have existed for as long as there have been theaters."
It applies equally to items that have a limited window of availability such as hotel rooms, flight tickets, or even cauliflowers. When sellers must offload these products, you'll likely find yourself getting a good bargain.
