Authorities from the Polish city of Wroclaw have advised residents to limit travel as they prepare for an influx of football fans ahead of the UEFA Conference League final.

More than 70,000 supporters are expected to descend on the city in the coming days, as Chelsea face Real Betis at the Wroclaw Stadium with its 42,000-seat capacity on Wednesday.

The Blues secured their spot in the finals by beating the Swedish team Djurgardens IF with an overall score of 5-1 earlier this month.

This confrontation might also result in Enzo Maresca win trophies during his initial campaign after joining Chelsea from Leicester City this past summer.

Nevertheless, as enthusiasts arrange their trips before the major match, people living in Wroclaw anticipate considerable disruptions in their city.

According to Polish outlet Gazeta Wroclawska The authorities from the capital city of Lower Silesia have issued a press statement informing citizens about three days of potential disruptions leading up to the event.

The document indicates that the west side of the city will experience significant impact, featuring several roadway shutdowns across the region along with law enforcement officers stationed to manage the surge in traffic flow.

Special bus and tram services will also be in operation, with local officials said to be expecting that the event will be bigger than the games staged during Euro 2012 in the city.

Meanwhile, locals have also been warned to use public transport and to stay at home wherever possible to avoid significant delays.

Large groups of fans are anticipated to assemble at a complimentary supporter festivity happening at the marketplace located in Wroclaw’s historical downtown area before the match, where the Conference League trophy will be exhibited.

The report was issued mere days after videos went viral on social media depicting Manchester United fans trapped at Bilbao bus station following their team’s loss to Spurs in the Europa League final.

Supporters trying to get to Bilbao Airport discovered that the city’s metro had no service. Some were apparently compelled to walk through the streets of the Basque capital during the early hours just to catch their flights.
