She gained global recognition for her role in the fantasy TV show Game of Thrones, where she portrayed a warrior among a group known as the 'wildlings'.
Now, Scots actress Rose Leslie has revealed her dream job would involve similarly wild surroundings.
When queried about her alternate path had she not ventured into drama, the 38-year-old commented: "I've often thought that when our country gathers to view:" David Attenborough documentaries I've always dreamed of being part of the camera team.'
She added: ‘I have always wanted to be behind the lens just so that you can travel the world.
'Plus, you could find yourself right in the middle of all this, surrounded by incredible creatures, and maybe even catching sight of thrilling pursuits or seeing cheetah cubs being born.'
‘Like, it’s amazing.’
Leslie rose to fame after portraying the 'wildling' Ygritte. Game Of Thrones — the television series where she encountered her spouse Kit Harington, known for his role as Jon Snow in the fantastical drama.
In 2018, the pair exchanged vows during a magical ceremony held at an idyllic rural church near Wardhill Castle in Aberdeenshire, which belongs to Leslie’s family. The event took place within throwing distance of the historic castle.

Following this, Leslie has made appearances in various other television series such as the BBC historical drama "Miss Austen" and the network’s crime thriller "Vigil."
She is presently involved in rehearsals for an RSC production of "The Constant Wife," which will hit the stage later this month.
The production includes jazz pianist Jamie Cullum, who is composing new music to enhance the performances, reportedly setting a precedent.
While appearing on The One Show to talk about the forthcoming play, Leslie also had a chat with chef Big Zuu and his co-host rapper AJ Tracey. They shared their experience of tasting the world’s priciest haggis.
Created by family butchers MacSween, this dish comes with a price tag of £4,000 and includes ingredients such as Highland Wagyu beef and white summer truffles. It was served in an intricately crafted wooden cask adorned with edible 24-carat gold.
The gastronomic event occurred when the duo explored Scone Palace in Perthshire during their Sky TV series Big Zuu & AJ Tracey’s Seriously Rich Flavours.
When asked whether she wanted to give it a go, Leslie responded: "I'd have no choice but to do so."
Additionally, when the duo recounted their experience of hearing a recitation of Robert Burns' poem "Address to a Haggis," Leslie commented, “That’s a tradition; it’s something you genuinely must perform.”
